About Me

Hometown:  Kingston, NY
College/University:  Binghamton University
Medical School: University of Buffalo

What are your career goals?
I'm not 100% sure yet, but I think I want to do a mix of academic and community EM. I really enjoy being able to teach!

What did you do the summer before internship?
Spent a lot of quality time with my family and friends. Unfortunately I wasn't able to go on any major trips.

What do you like to do outside of medicine?
I like to play and watch most sports. I enjoy trying new restaurants and craft cocktails as well!

Reflections on the Pitt EM Program

What were you looking for in a residency program?
I was looking for a program that trains exceptional EM doctors, while still being casual and familial with colleagues. I also wanted a good mix of hospitals and to not work at just one or two facilities.

What are the strengths of the Pitt EM program?
Great EMS exposure. Amazing and diverse medical pathology and trauma. Family-oriented environment between both residents and attendings.

What has surprised you most about Pitt?
How tight-knit and friendly everyone is!

About Pitt EM and Pittsburgh

What do you like best about living in Pittsburgh/Western PA?
There's always something to do! Whether it's walking down by the rivers, catching a sports game, exploring new neighborhoods, playing pick-up basketball, or trying new restaurants/bars.

Where did you choose to live, and why?
I chose to live in Shadyside because I got a great deal on a nice apartment, and it's a neighborhood full of things to do.

What advice would you give to incoming residents about moving to the 'Burgh?
Pittsburgh really is an awesome city that you have to visit. Definitely start to look for housing early in the process because it can be overwhelming and places go fast. There's also a lot of onboarding tasks so get an early jump on that too.
