What did you do the summer before internship?
Tried not to get COVID, watched Netflix, hung out with my boyfriend and dog. 
 
What do you like to do outside of medicine? 
Swim, watch football and travel.

Reflections on the Pitt EM Program

What were you looking for in a residency program? 
EMS experiences and opportunities to get involved in patient safety/administrative committees in an affordable city.
 
What are the strengths of the Pitt EM program? 
EMS experience, our attendings and coresidents.
 
Tell us about your residency classmates! How long did it take to connect?
They’re the best- not long at all despite starting residency during COVID.

What do you like best about living in Pittsburgh/Western PA?
Affordability, access to the outdoors, friendly people.
 
Where did you choose to live, and why?
Lawrenceville- walkability and access to restaurants, bars. Very easy commute as well. 
 
Based on your experiences, what advice would you give to incoming applicants about moving to the 'Burgh?
Live in Lawrenceville, Strip District or Shadyside
