Emergency Medicine, Doctors, Cathedral of Learning

Pushing the edge of what’s possible.

For over 40 years, Pitt Emergency Medicine has been at the top of academic units in the country in every metric.  We train current and future leaders of acute care, including organizational presidents, text and journal editors, department chairs, and deans.  We conduct ground-breaking research, driving forward patient care for the rest of the world.  We continue to live our mission: improving acute care while creating and sharing the knowledge to do this even better.
