Michael Abesamis

Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine

Michael Abesamis, MD, is an assistant professor of emergency medicine at the University of Pittsburgh and an emergency physician and medical toxicologist at UPMC. He serves as the director of the UPMC Medical Toxicology Outpatient Clinic and medical director of the West Virginia Poison Center. 

Dr. Abesamis received undergraduate degrees from the University of Michigan and Wayne State University before earning his medical degree at Wayne State University. He completed his residency in emergency medicine and fellowship in medical toxicology at the University of Pittsburgh.
