Students have the opportunity to observe our faculty during an emergency medicine shift. Shifts are 4 hours in length, and can take place at any of our four main hospital sites - UPMC Presbyterian, UPMC Mercy, UPMC Shadyside, and UPMC Magee-Women's. There are paperwork and orientation requirements that must be met prior to shadowing.

Pitt undergrads can apply to the Office of Medical Education shadowing program where we offer a single shadowing experience. Please contact shadowing@medschool.pitt.edu and Alexis Morris (morrisac@upmc.edu) for more information.
Our department does not offer shadowing with Advance Practice Providers; please see below for an alternative.
