Charissa Pacella, MD, is a professor and vice chair of academic clinical operations in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. She serves as program director of the UPMC/University of Pittsburgh administration and physician leadership fellowship. Dr. Pacella is an emergency physician at UPMC and chief of emergency services at UPMC Presbyterian. 

Dr. Pacella completed her undergraduate degree at Harvard College before earning her medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh. She completed her residency in emergency medicine at the University of Pittsburgh before joining the faculty.
