James Van Meerbeke, MD, is an assistant professor of emergency medicine at the University of Pittsburgh and an emergency physician at UPMC. He serves as an assistant program director of the UPMC/University of Pittsburgh emergency medicine residency program.
Dr. Van Merrbeke completed his undergraduate degree at Dickinson College before earning his medical degree at the University of Maryland. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at the University of Pittsburgh before joining the faculty.
