Julie McCausland

Julie McCausland, MD, MS, FACEP, is an associate professor in the University of Pittsburgh Department of Emergency Medicine with a secondary appointment in the Department of Medicine. She is an emergency physician at UPMC and serves as the program director of the UPMC/University of Pittsburgh Transitional Year residency program and co-chair of the UPMC Medical Education Professional Development Subcommittee. 

Dr. McCausland completed her undergraduate degree at Bucknell University before earning her medical degree at Drexel University. She completed a preliminary year in internal medicine at the University of Virginia before completing her residency in emergency medicine and Yale University. She completed her fellowship in emergency care research at the University of Pittsburgh before joining the faculty.
